Company history

Started by the father and son team of Kent and Kris Slater, Phoenix Helicopter Serives has given students a place to learn at their own pace in a one on one environment. 

With over 7000 hours of combined experience, the owners envisioned a school with quality instruction as the top priority. Phoenix Helicopter Services aims to provide our students with a safe and friendly place to learn at an affordable price.

Phoenix Helicopter Services opened for business on March 15, 2008. The company is a family business, operated by Kris, Amanda, Kent and Marcy Slater. Since opening, our fleet has grown to 3 helicopters; two R22s and one R44 Raven II Instrument Trainer. We also have over 40 students and 5 instructors. We have greatly expanded our commercial operations, including aerial photography, tours and speciaized events.
