Why use a helicopter?

The helicopter is a one of a kind platform for aerial photography.  Some of the benefits of a helicopter for photography include:

Slow speeds – Depending on altitude and area conditions, the helicopter can fly as slow as needed to get a specific shot. 

Low altitude – Being in a helicopter allows us to fly lower than other aircraft so you can get the perfect angle and perspective for your photos.

Maneuverable aircraft – Helicopters are the most maneuverable aircraft available, which means we can turn the aircraft in the direction you need for your shot to get that perfect view.

Doors off operations – For those of you with no problem with heights, we offer doors off operations.  That means there will be no glare or distortion from the window glass and more freedom of movement.

Flight time – Our aircraft have the capability of staying airborne for up to 2.5 hours at a time without refueling.

 

Aerial Photography Rates

We have two aircraft options available to you for aerial photography, depending on your needs.

Robinson R22 Helicopter

The R22 is a two seat helicopter for a pilot and one passenger.  The aircraft has an approximate cruise speed of 80 MPH and a maximum passenger weight of 240 lbs (including equipment).

The price for the R22 is 250.00 per hour with a 30 minute minimum.

Robinson R44 Helicopter

The R44 is a four seat helicopter for one pilot and up to 3 passengers.  This aircraft cruises at up to 115 MPH with doors off.  The maximum passenger weight for this aircraft is 300 lbs (including equipment) per seat. 

The price for the R44 is 450.00 per hour with a 30 minute minimum.
