Chrome Bumper Conversion

I am in the process of converting to chrome. Moss does carry a chrome bumper conversion kit... but at $1000, I am trying to make a lot of parts on my own and buy a lot used to save some money. Moss was kind enough to email me a list of parts included in the kit so that I can piece together what I don't have. I'm sure they will do the same for you if you ask. I would post it here, but I don't know if they would want it up on the internet. They are kind enough to post the directions for the kit online here.

I purchased a pair of rear bumper conversion brackets from morSpeed, and they are avery high quality product at a good price.

I also found these images floating around online for building your own brackets. FRONT REAR

Instead of using the conversion brackets from Moss, I decided to use stock chrome bumper mounting brackets and lower valance panel. Using the new grille and brackets as a guide, I cut the ruber bumper mounts off using a die grinder. I will weld filler panels over the ends of the frame rail for strength. For the mounts, I will weld captive nuts on the lower rail.

On the back I used the adapters from morSpeed and stock chrome bumper mounting brackets from Moss. I haven't welded up the spacers below the lights yet, but I am using the fillers from Moss. In this photo, the bumper is very loosely mounted for fitting.
